Bobby & Kelly opened the doors of La Cantina Restaurant on April 6, 2006. Recognizing a desire for a Mexican restaurant in Birch Bay, they were fortunate to find Manuel, the chef who helped work wonders in our kitchen.
Bobby is a long-time icon in Birch Bay. He started the former Dry Dock Restaurant - first located on the water (current Blue Fish location) and then directly across the street in 'the old house'... This was torn down to make room for the Sandcastle buidling. Prior to the Dry Dock, he was also employed at what locals still know as "The Workshop" - the pub that is now a part of La Cantina.
Maureen is a bit of a 'newbie' in Birch Bay terms... 7 years a resident by way of California, Europe, Washington DC, and Nashville.... She made her way back to the west coast when she discovered Birch Bay.
We look forward to welcoming locals and tourists alike to La Cantina. So if you are hungry for a great Mexican meal or just want to have a margarita or cold beer and enjoy the fabulous view from our deck, please come on in. BIENVENIDO!
